Awkward students abound; election day.
Well, I’m sitting here pretending to do work while an IEP student takes an exam in my office. Supposedly she needed a scribe, yet here she is writing an essay all by herself. At some point she’s supposed to ask me to rewrite everything she’s written. I’m not sure how much sense any of this makes. It’s “PD Day” though, which means it’s election day but they still want to make teachers and staff come to work. Even though those damn kids get a day off. I’m wearing jeans and a flannel shirt and a pair of chuck taylors, so it’s not all bad to have to come into work when there aren’t any students around. Except when there’s a prospie at your desk taking a test. Well, they can’t all be winners.
In other news, I’m half-moved! Liz and I took over a bunch of boxes and things on Sunday night. Hopefully we’ll be able to pack up some more and bring it over before Saturday 11/14, when the MOVERS come! MOVERS!!! I know, right? This is really exciting. I have the keys to my new place in my purse and every once in awhile I take them out and pet them while I mutter sweet nothings to my precious under my breath. Precious….
I honestly cannot wait for November 14th. At this point I am barely holding it together around that blasted crazy hipster roommate of mine. In case there was any doubt regarding the lunacy of my current roommate situation, allow me to present to you this craigslist ad for our rooms:

Read it and be thankful.
