Oh dear god, I am so bored. I am also procrastinating. I am at work, and should be working on discharging about 20 kids (this includes figuring out what school they are going to, contacting that school and confirming that they are in attendance before actually discharging anyone). It is easily one of the most tedious and frustrating parts of my job.
So, I’ve been surfing facebook instead. And constantly checking dooce.com for updates (so far nothing today). Just generally doing useless things instead of productive things. It’s only a matter of time before one of my supervisors (principal, assistant principal, registrar, guidance) figures out that I haven’t done any discharges and then it’s hustle hustle hustle to cover my ass.
I guess you could say that I like to live dangerously. It’s this desire to live dangerously (or procrastination…) that is also the reason why I have not yet made an appointment to get my flu shot (or my physical, or my girl-doctor appointment so I can get more of my girl-prescription). Which is why I am now drinking copious amounts of Airborne and running scared from every sniffling, coughing, fevered student and faculty member.
Ah, the danger.
